The next morning I got up from my bed, walked into the kitchen and ate my breakfast. I walked back into my room and got dressed. Then I got in the car and buckled my seatbelt. My mom got in the car. She buckled her seatbelt. Then my mom started the car.
Then we drove off to Target. We unbuckled our seatbelts and went into Target. When we got into Target, we walked around everywhere. We were trying to find the aisle with all of the kids’ school supplies. We walked around the whole store trying to find the aisle. Finally, we found it.
Target had school supplies everywhere: pencils, folders, crayons, pens, binders; everywhere. Then my mom walked into one of the aisles that had school supplies. There were signs that said printers, work supplies. I needed to get out of Target. It was full of people rushing to try to find school supplies for their kids. I was shocked at how many parents there were.
There were probably 50 people in one aisle. It was crazy. I almost got lost! I was trying to find my mom but I just could not find her. So I went into the next aisle down and there she was. “Mom!!!” I screamed, “don’t pick up that pink pencil sharpener.” My mom got mad. She got furious. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my mom get this mad over school supplies. She grabbed scissors off the shelf super fast and then she said, “I’m done!” “I’m done, I’m finished.”
Then we got to the cash register and we checked out. We walked out of the store and went to the car. I sat down in my seat and buckled my seat belt and we drove off to our house. When we got there, we got out of the car. My mom got out the keys and unlocked the door and walked inside and put the bag on the table in the kitchen.
Later that day, I screamed, “Mom, where did you put my school supplies!!!” “I’m not going to tell you” said my mom. I got a little bit mad but then I remembered where my mom used to put the stuff I wasn’t suppose to find. So I went to that spot. It was in the attic right behind the Christmas tree. It was scary in the attic. The sound of the trees tapping on the windows was creepy. So I grabbed the bag super quickly and ran down stairs in my room and shut the door. Now I’m going to have the best school supplies ever!
Well mom, now we don’t have to go school shopping anymore!” I said. “Yeah” my mom said, “that was almost like Black Friday. So many people were in one aisle and you almost got lost. Next time we’ll go shopping even earlier since it seems like everyone shops right before school starts.” I replied, “If you’re going to shop for school supplies next time a week before school starts, don’t take me because that was crazy.”
