A Fable

One day, a priest (named Mula Nasrudine) was walking to church when suddenly he saw a man who was sitting on the heavy end of a tree and was cutting it with his saw!  Mula Nasrudine asked the man why he was sitting on the heavy end of the tree and cutting it.

The man answered, “To make my job easier.”

“Well, take my word, you’re going to fall down,” said Mula Nasrudine.

“You know everything,” the man answered and went back to working.  After a while, Mula Nasrudine went back to walking to church.

Suddenly, he heard a THUD! Then, he heard sounds of running footsteps, and they were after him.  Then, he heard that person was saying,” Hey ho stop for a sec.”  Mula Nasrudine turned.

“What?” he said.

“Are you a fortune teller?” the man replied.

“No, but why?”

The man answered, “Because only fortune tellers guess what will happen next.”

“I knew what would happen next because I always use my brain.”  And with that sentence, Mula Nasrudine left, with the other man’s mouth hanging open.

MORAL: ALWAYS USE WHAT GOD’S GIVEN YOU, YOUR BRAIN.
