Going to the Tulip Festival

Every year we go to the Tulip Festival.  A rainbow of tulips, so pretty

The smell of spring, colors of summer.

“Tulips are NOT for picking,” Mom tells my little brother.

A sign of summer to come, Grandma comes from Connecticut.  She loves all the flowers.  Last year she got lost!

Not lost, in the beautiful land of flowers, but lost in the crowded park.

The large wet fountain

Kids playing in the water

A pool of water

Surrounded by flowers,

There we found Grandma

Watching kids play.

 It was a perfect day!

Spring

When spring comes the snow melts into water

And the flowers start to sprout.

Next the bears come out from hibernation.

Rainbow

Streaks of many colors

From red to purple

And in between

Orange, yellow, green and blue

After every rain

They fall from the sky.

Rain

Rain is happy when it falls out of the sky;

But when it’s not in the water, it will be sad.

When the cloud is happy, it will be fluffy,

But when it’s not it will not be very puffy.

When it’s sticky and rainy outside,

I’ll have to walk right back inside.
