Life is Good

Friends
Maureen, Age 10
Sacred Heart School

I like my friends
They are there until the end
I can call them anytime
At least I can with mine

My friends are big and small
They are there to go to the mall

My friends are the best
They always pass the test

My Birthday
Sophie, Age 7
H.L. Bradt Primary School

Tomorrow is my birthday.
I can’t wait!
I can’t believe it’s tomorrow.
It’s a big date.
I’m going to be seven.
Soon I’ll be 8.
It’s going to be super fun.

My Birthday Party
Sarah, Age 10
New Scotland Elementary

When we got to Libby Lu’s we got a hairstyle that was crazy and makeup that was beautiful and clothes that were funky!  After all of that we went to Pizzeria Uno.  The food that I got was  “make your own pizza”.  They serve it with sauce and cheese.  You put it on and then you let them cook it for a few minutes.  I got a drink with my dinner that was blue, and when I drank some it made most of my tongue really blue.  When we were done with our dinner, the waitress and the rest of the people at the restaurant brought us both desserts with a candle on it and sang happy birthday to us.  One of the waiters had a harmonica and played it very fast.  It was a great day and I never wanted it to end.  After we ate, we walked all around the mall to different stores to look at clothes.  We went to the Deb Shop and bought my friend a shirt.  It is going to be JoAnna’s birthday soon too!  After all that excitement we got in the car and on the way home I opened my presents from my friend JoAnna.  Next year I want to do it all over again with more of my friends.  My birthday party that passed was the best one yet!
