Jiichan: Book Review

6/15/2017

Alina, Age 8
Gardner Dickinson

In the book, Kamisni Bad Man by Allen Say the main character is Jiichan. Jiichan is a man who tells stories. In my opinion, Jiichan is determined and friendly.

Jiichan was determined because he never gave up on telling his stories. Jiichan went to the city everyday to tell his stories to the kids. Kids stopped listening to Jiichan stories because the TV was invented, but he never gave up. He still tried to get the kids to listen to his stories even though they were watching TV. Jiichan still tried to tell his stories because he was determined.

Jiichan was friendly because he was always nice to kids. Jiichan gae the kids sweets and came to the city to tell stories. Most of th ekids did not go to Jiichan bcause they were watching TV, but one little boy came. Jiichan was kind and told him a story that was because Jiichan was friendly.

At the end of the story, Jiichan told his stories and everyone listened to his stories. Jiichan was determined to tell stories and he died. Jiichan was friendly to the kids who listened to his stories. Jiichan taught me to get my dreams to come true I have to be determined.
