There was a beautiful blue bird that had a nest at the top of a big tree. That bird had eggs in her nest. One day, she flew away to search for food. The eggs hatched when she was not there. The little baby birds came out of their eggs and started looking for their mommy. They started screaming and crying. The one baby bird fell on the floor, and it was looking for his mommy. There was a little girl playing around the tree. She saw him and told her father. He picked it up and put it back in the nest. By the time the mommy bird came back, she saw him, and they lived happily in the nest.

One day I was walking back from the school. It was a windy day. I had lots of homework to do. I was thinking to finish it as soon as I reached home. The homework papers were in my hands I was looking at them. Suddenly I dropped them and the wind blew them all over the street, so I ran to pick them up. I saw a bird came and picked them up and flew away. I was shouting, " Hey pretty bird. This is my homework not your food." The bird didn't listen to me.I tried to catch the bird, but it was faster than me. Finally, I gave up and let it go.
"Happy Homework, Bird."
"May see you sometime.'

On the 4th of July me, mom and dad were stuck in a traffic jam because everyone was trying to get to Empire State Plaza at the same time. But, finally got there and we saw the almost everyone was wearing red, white, and blue. Plus, almost everyone was holding red, white and blue glow sticks. We also saw a ginormous United States of America flag. As far as we could see everything was dotted with red, white and blue. Everyone seemed happy, which made me think of a line from the Declaration of Independence, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
Once there, we had to find a spot to sit, once we did, we set up our chairs. Then me and my dad went to get food to eat. Every single vendor was crowded and had something to do with July 4th. Like I saw a snow cone that was red, white, and blue. Plus we learned that the whole thing was sponsored by Market 32 and Price Chopper. Finally we decided on french fries and two lemonades.
After that we just sat their listening to music, close together and talking. Everyone was doing the same thing. Then they played, "Best day of my life." I got so excited. It is my favorite song.
After "The Best Day of My Life" was over, we rose for the Star-Spangled Banner. The sun was just setting. Then somebody said that there were 10,000 fireworks.
"Wow," went the crowd. Ten seconds later the fireworks started. Boom, boom, boom! Each firework reflected over a pool of water. They made a flag with fireworks. It was amazing. At the last firework I felt like the whole world was shaking because of the noise.
It's fully secure, all bags searched, except ADA defined service animals. If you spend July 4th in Empire State Plaza It is truly a "glorious and memorable" birthday of America.

I like to go the ice skating in the plaza because it is like you are walking on water, but you are skating on ice. You can slide like you are a princess, but it is fun when you slide on the edge of the ice. Sometimes the ice gets white when you are on the edge. It makes me get butterflies in my stomach.
My story is about the opportunities I have had since I was a little kid. One of those opportunities was the Troy Boys and Girls Club. I can remember my first day at the Troy Boys and Girls. I was in first grade and I was a total nervous wreck. My heart was beating super fast. I just stood there looking not knowing where to go and not knowing what to do. It seemed like it was a long time, but it happened really fast. Finally an older kid saw me and showed me where my group and counselor was. Ever since that day I was never worried about going to the Boys and Girls Club. I've learned to be kind and compassionate in my every day life by going to the Boys and Girls Club. Recently I have been helping other kids who were also just like me. The Troy Boys and Girls Club has really changed me and helped me unlock my full potential. Now I realize how thankful I am for the Troy Boys and Girls Club.
Now I am going to tell you about the other opportunity I have had since I was little, which is 15-LOVE. 15-LOVE is a program I have been going to since I was born. I still remember how I was so tiny light that I could barely even hold a tennis racket. Now I am so good at tennis that I can I can actually rally with somebody a couple of times and even win a couple of times. Not only have I learned to be a better tennis player but I have also learned to be a better person and live a healthy style. I still can't believe that I improved my tennis skills and my people skills so much. I am actually proud of myself.
Both of these opportunities have truly been a great experience for me, and I really wish to continue these amazing programs.
